About
Owner-operated by Mark Battaglini.
Rapid Response Handyman is built on a simple idea: most home and property problems don't need a specialist and a three-week wait. They need someone who shows up, understands the problem, and fixes it properly.

A background in solving problems for people.
Mark's working life has been about two things: figuring out what's actually wrong, and dealing with people well while doing it. Years of hands-on problem solving and customer-facing work translate directly into this trade — diagnosing before replacing, explaining in plain language, and treating someone's home like it matters.
That's why the service list is broad. Handyman work, locksmith work, minor electrical and plumbing, appliances, doors and drywall, smart home devices, pressure washing — the common thread is that all of it is work a competent, careful generalist can do better and faster than coordinating four different companies.
The service area is Atlantic County and Cape May County, New Jersey. That's shore homes, seasonal rentals, and year-round residences, each with their own quirks — salt air, turnover schedules, off-season checks, and repairs that need to be done between bookings.
If a job is genuinely outside our scope — major electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or structural work that requires a licensed specialty contractor or a permit — you'll be told that up front rather than sold something.
Three things we hold to.
Answer the phone
Most frustration with contractors starts with silence. Calls and texts get returned, and you get told what's happening.
Scope it honestly
You hear what the job actually involves — including when it needs a licensed specialty trade instead of us.
Leave it clean
Work areas get protected and cleaned up. You shouldn't have to fix the fix.
